How To Achieve Seamless Joints Between EPS Cement Sandwich Panels

Many first-time installers worry that the joints between EPS Cement Sandwich Panels will leave visible cracks after a few months, ruining the smooth look of the finished wall. In fact, as long as you follow the standard joint treatment process, you can get completely seamless wall surfaces that stay intact for more than 10 years, with no visible trace of the panel joints.

After you lock two adjacent EPS Cement Sandwich Panels together through the tongue and groove structure, there will be a tiny 1-2mm gap between the two panels. First, clean all dust and debris out of this gap completely with a brush, then inject a special flexible joint filler that matches the panel’s expansion rate. After the filler dries partially, use a putty knife to scrape it flat, then apply a thin layer of interface agent across the joint area. Next, stick a high-strength alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh tape centered on the joint, pressing it firmly into the interface agent to remove all air bubbles. Once the interface agent is fully cured, apply two thin layers of anti-crack putty over the tape, making sure the putty area extends 100mm to both sides of the joint. After the putty is completely dry, sand the area gently until it is completely flush with the rest of the panel surface. When you paint the whole wall, the joint area will be completely invisible. This process accounts for the tiny natural expansion and contraction of the panels caused by temperature and humidity changes, so no cracks will ever appear along the joints, even in regions with large seasonal temperature differences.
