Many people want to know the actual long term performance of EPS Cement Sandwich Panel after decades of use, not just the lab test data on the product specification sheet. There are already many real world projects that have been using this panel for more than 20 years, and the follow-up inspection results are very impressive, far exceeding people’s expectations.
Researchers inspected more than 30 buildings that used EPS Cement Sandwich Panel 20 years ago, including residential apartments, office buildings and commercial stores. They found that even after 20 years of use, the panel’s structural strength did not decrease at all. The wall mount load capacity of the panels that had heavy cabinets hanging on them for 20 years was still the same as the new panels. The slots that were cut 20 years ago for wiring, after being repaired properly, still had no cracks or deformation. The thermal insulation performance of the panels only decreased by less than 2%, which is almost negligible. Even the panels that were installed in coastal cities with high salt air humidity did not show any sign of corrosion or performance degradation. These real long term test results prove that EPS Cement Sandwich Panel is not a temporary low-quality lightweight material, but a high performance building material that can serve for more than 50 years, same as the service life of traditional concrete walls. It is a long term reliable investment for any construction project, not a short term temporary solution.
